| How to Become a New
Delivery Provider LandSkills
East is actively looking for new delivery partners to help it
to deliver training across the East of England.
The programme has available funding for the delivery
of training in all the different programme areas and at both the
vocational and higher levels. Training can run until the end of March
2012 and will need to be claimed for by the 30th of April. All LandSkills
East delivery is developed against a document called a Skills
Pack. This document outlines the areas of training which have been
identified as being needed in the region.
As with all public funding becoming a LandSkills
East delivery partner does come with some challenges, to help
you to understand the process and systems for delivery of training a
copy of the draft contract and other systems will be made available to
all new providers who make contact with LandSkills
East about becoming a partner.
Becoming a delivery partner is a simple process and
can be completed in approximately 3 weeks.
To become a Delivery Partner please follow these steps:
- Contact Michael Mack of the LandSkills
East Team (01603 731285) with whom you can discuss your ideas
for delivering training. If it is required Mike can set up a meeting
with you to go through the processes and systems the programme
operates to and to clearly outline the training needs in the skills
pack. During the initial conversation Mike will outline the key
processes which the programme has and answer any questions you have
about the programme and the training. You will also be signposted to
all the relevant scheme documents. If you have any questions during
the processes of becoming a partner then please contact Mike to talk
them through.
- If you wish to proceed you will need to submit a
formal request to join the delivery partnership. This information
must be provided electronically and as a paper pack with a signed
letter of intent. The required information is:
• Signed Letter of Intent
• Company overview with details of any accreditation you
have.
• Your last annual accounts
• Your contract manager contact details
• Your marketing or trainee recruitment details
• An outline of the training you plan to deliver
including areas of delivery.
- On receiving this information Norfolk County
Council will review and check the information and will endeavour to
respond within 7 working days to let you know if any further
information is required and or the decision regarding becoming a
delivery partner
- If you are selected as a delivery provider you
will be issued with a contract which should be signed and returned
to Norfolk County Council. When this has been signed and returned
you will be able to start the delivery of LandSkills
East courses. On receiving the contract you will be also
contacted regarding attending two meetings with the LandSkills
East Team. The first of these will be held shortly after
issuing the contract and aims to give you the information you need
to set up your systems and start to run training courses, the second
will be approximately one month after the first and will aim to look
at progress and deal with any issues encountered during the first
month.
