* Develop personal skills to improve confidence, motivation and aspirations to further career prospects within the land-based sector including topics such as: negotiating, staff management, self appraisal and presentions.
* Provide training on a whole range of subjects leading to on-farm benefits and rural development. Topics include: diversification, renewable energy, cooperation (contract farming and machinery sharing) and management skills.
* Offer study tours on specific topics.
* Source and fulfil job opportunities from the match making service.
* Provision of a mentor to assist with personal and business development including seeking further training opportunities. The Beds & Herts Start Academy will re-launch in November 2009. This is an opportunity for you to join an innovative project looking to develop the land based business managers of the future.
